That LA Mag list is old; I believe there's a new one already.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11416750618176810371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6703853884983117082.post-72609046247433496132009-05-19T15:24:18.775-07:002009-05-19T15:24:18.775-07:00Thanks for that link to LA Magazine. I suspect that, in the next revision, we'll see mention of the many new restaurant that've opened in the past year: Drago Centro, Rivera, C&S, etc.

For dessert, you can use my photos if you want.

Have you thought more about where you'll hold your subsequent going away dinners?kevinEatshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13874030588556187843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6703853884983117082.post-80564202946011848822009-05-18T22:21:00.000-07:002009-05-18T22:21:00.000-07:00Matt: Thanks for the brandade catch. I gotta work on my sentence structures - they can be jarring.

Also, I believe it's spelled Brandade.

The pork was fabulous. Sorry the lamb wasn't a typical medium rare. The last time we had it, it was bloody and juicy. So much for perfect consistency :) I'll have to go back and see what the issue was.

Interestingly, people tend to complain about the overall non-deliciousness of the caneles at Canele. The best one I've had is at Bottega Louie in Downtown, but I think their rather large size lends toward a spongier middle while the diminuitive ones at Canele lead to something a bit more crunchy.mattatouillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18362025149586532212noreply@blogger.com
